Automated Greensand moulding provides Camcast with improved technology in the foundry industry, giving us the ability to produce the highest quality castings quickly and efficiently.
The automatic moulding process utilises one-time-use sand moulds.
Green sand is air blown into the flasks and hydraulically squeezed simultaneously against both sides of the match-plate pattern.
The cope and drag flasks are mechanically located together forming a sand mould which the metal is poured into it. After the metal is set the team retrieves the castings from the mould. Then the sand is recycled and reused.
The main castings produced in the green sand Automated machine are small and medium-sized castings such as valves, mechanical parts, auto parts, hydraulic parts, pipe fittings.
